Organic Farms

Salem County has several organic farms which practice a form of farming that relies on crop rotation, green manure, compost, biological pest control, and mechanical cultivation to maintain soil productivity and control pests and excludes or strictly limits the use of synthetic fertilizers and synthetic pesticides.  The role of organic agriculture is to sustain and enhance the health of ecosystems and improve the quality of food products.
